  • Confused by conflicting information?

  • Frustrated that other guidance is too restrictive or weight-focused?

  • Motivated to do everything you can to support your chances of conceiving?

Then join our Fertility Foundations nutrition course!

This self-paced, online course taught by fertility nutrition expert, Rachelle Mallik, MA, RDN is for anyone interested in supporting their chances of conceiving with nutrition. It was built with you in mind - informed by Rachelle’s 17+ years of experience working with fertility patients and clients, answering their questions and helping them implement evidence-based nutrition recommendations into their lifestyle. You’ll get the same guidance that my 1:1 clients benefit from at a fraction of the cost and on your schedule.

This course will help you make informed choices about what’s “in your control” and stress less about everything you eat on your TTC journey.

I created this course to help you…

  • Spend less time internet searching.

Even if you know how to read and interpret research studies, we’ve done the work for you, culminating the current body of evidence and saving you many hours of time and frustration. Additionally, Rachelle’s years of experience working with patients and clients adds perspective and real-life application to what the research says.

  • Feel empowered and make informed decisions.

Do I need to lose weight? Do I need to avoid dairy, gluten, soy? Do I need to completely cut out alcohol, caffeine and soda? What can I eat to support my chances of having a successful IVF cycle? What supplements should I take? We provide information and our takeaways to help you make nutrition and lifestyle choices that work for you.

  • Stress less about what you eat.

Nutrition can support your chances of conceiving, but micromanaging your diet and stressing about everything you eat is not helpful. We provide guidance and actionable tips so you can use food to nourish your body and feel good on your reproductive journey.

  • Support your chances of conceiving and having a healthy pregnancy.

While your fertility and overall health are not 100% within your control, nutrition is a piece of the puzzle and considered a modifiable factor. Diet has been linked with improved natural fertility, fertility treatment outcomes and pregnancy outcomes. Learn more about this in the course!

  • Receive well-researched information that adds context to content.

You might find completely opposing opinions or answers online. Some of the information you find in this course may contradict things you’ve read on the internet, heard from a friend or even your doctor. We add context to content by providing the research studies along with Rachelle’s clinical expertise (as a former IVF patient coordinator and as a dietitian) all with a weight-inclusive approach.

Fertility Foundations is your go-to resource for nutrition guidance when trying to conceive.

Rather than focusing on weight loss or restrictive diets, we believe in nurturing your body and optimizing fertility health through balanced nutrition.

What topics are covered in the course?

You will receive all of the content as soon as you sign up! It includes recorded slide presentations with audio plus supplemental handouts to complement the recordings. Modules are around 20 minutes to fit into your busy schedule. Here’s what we’ll cover in Fertility Foundations:

1) Why Nutrition Matters for Fertility

  • After module 1 you’ll know the various ways nutrition matters and can support fertility. Plus you’ll have an understanding of the course format and how to get the most out of your experience.

2) BMI, Weight Loss & Fertility

  • After module 2, you’ll have a better understanding of what the research says about body mass index (BMI) and fertility and weight loss for fertility, and why we don’t recommend intentional weight loss when trying to conceive.

3) Weight-Inclusive Care & Non-diet Approaches

  • After module 3, you’ll see the difference between weight-inclusive and weight-centric healthcare and how it’s a more sustainable approach to supporting your health and a healthy relationship with food and body during your fertility journey. You’ll also learn how “non-diet” nutrition approaches can support your fertility without focusing on weight loss and dietary restriction.

4) Nutrition “101”: Macronutrients (Carbs, Protein & Fat)

  • After module 4, you’ll understand why all three macronutrients are important for fertility and how to build a balanced meal to help meet your energy and nutrient needs (and enjoy what you’re eating!).

5) Nutrition “101”: Micronutrients (Vitamins & Minerals)

  • After module 5, you’ll understand the importance of various vitamins and minerals for fertility and early pregnancy and how to incorporate foods that are rich in these micronutrients in your diet.

6) Dietary Patterns for Fertility

  • After module 6, you’ll feel more informed about dietary patterns that can support fertility, especially what they include and what they don’t exclude. You’ll learn how these dietary patterns can be adapted to meet your personal dietary needs and food preferences.

7) Caffeine, Sweeteners & Alcohol

  • After module 7, you’ll be able to decide how much caffeine and alcohol (if you consume any at all) feels good for you on your TTC journey based on the research. You’ll also have a better understanding of how sugar-sweetened beverages, artificial and low-calorie sweeteners are linked to fertility outcomes.

8) Supplements for Female Fertility

  • After module 8, you’ll be more confident choosing supplements to support your fertility, including those that may support egg quality and manage PCOS symptoms (and you’ll avoid spending hundreds of dollars every month on supplements you don’t need).

**BONUSES**

  • Folks enrolled in Fertility Foundations are invited to our monthly live Q&A calls with Rachelle for additional support and guidance.

  • Upon enrollment, you will also receive one-month access to an online customizable meal planner to help you put the nutrition content into practice.

What people are saying about Fertility Foundations so far!

“Rachelle’s course has been so informative and given me quality nutritional guidance while trying to conceive via fertility treatments. So much of the process has been out of my hands, but embracing her course makes me feel empowered to help my body prepare for a baby. Thanks so much, Rachelle! I greatly appreciate your approach and acceptance to all bodies and focusing on overall health goals versus weight focused goals.” - Annie

"I love how research based all the recommendations are!" - Diane

"The videos are GREAT!! Super informative and easy to understand, plus the handouts help. I think it’s a really great overview of nutrition for fertility, both as a stand-alone resource or to help people to know whether they would further benefit from 1:1 care.” - Andrea

"I think what is insanely helpful in the course is info around the diet and supplements. It made me feel so much better and helped remind me it's not worth stressing over little things but focusing on a well balanced diet and making minor tweaks is key. The info on supplements and having it laid out in an easy to digest format was SUPER helpful." - Katie

"Honestly, initial thoughts around BMI and weight module was ‘AMAZING’. I had NO idea that wasn't necessarily associated with better outcomes or higher live birth rates. They really act like BMI is such a big deal with IVF (I am not overweight and it has come up OFTEN!!!). I think it is often stigmatized and even though I am not overweight, I obviously have felt the pressure to focus on maintaining a healthy weight and monitor my diet. I imagine it is hard and stressful for someone who is overweight to worry about this ON TOP OF worrying about IVF. It was really reassuring and helpful (and healthier) to focus more around one's overall health vs obsessing over BMI." - Katie

“The information is simplified and shared in a way that makes it easy to see how it applies to you. The action items at the end of each chapter are a great exercise!” - Ozana
